• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private.   • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I no longer call myself a Christian. Due to the hyprocracy of what I do. The hardships that come with being a christian are to much. I may or may not pass that line but I love you guys for all ur help and I'm going to be leaving the forum. I no longer want what I used to, and God is to patient In giving me what I need. I know that I have made post that are praiseworthy but I can't do it any longer. It is a concsience choice that I am making and pls don't detur me. This is the way I want it. I love you guy's sooooooo much.....

As long as you have followed his word and still keep him in your heart, you can't walk away. He won't allow it. God hasn't stopped loving you. Don't start not loving him.

Guys I'm just having a falling out. This is dabro by the way. You know I can't leave the Lord. He's been sooooooo good to all of us. I just am so sorry. For all of this. I'm going thru alot with abusing prescription drugs, and porn which both are very destuctive. Kaykay ur prayers are being answered cos. I can't stand the thought of leaving the only one who has loved me so much. Thanks guys.

You know quite well that "in our flesh is no good thing." Good grief the apostle Paul constantly struggled with this. "What I want to do I don't do and what I don't want to do I do." This is precisely why Christ came. He knew of our inability to measure up to the righteous standards of God. So His righteousness had to be placed upon us and God views us through that lens. We all struggle with our flesh and our old nature... it makes us feel saddened and discouraged but it also points to our need for the atonement. "Here is love - not that WE loved God but that He loved us and sent His son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins." Once that is done... "You are not your own, you are bought with a price." Don't think for one moment that God is going to waste one drop of that precious blood that has been applied to your life.
You will be disappointed time and again by the falls.. just like I am. I disgust myself but thankfully, "He who has begun a good work in me will complete it." You might walk away from the forum and supposedly from the Christian walk, but you can be sure that God will pursue you. You are His child, He loves you and has a plan for your life. Also, I don't plan to stop praying for you as I'm sure other's on the forum will also do.
Instead of focusing on who you are, try and focus on who He is. Learn of His grace, His mercy, His undeterred love and power to save to the uttermost.

Dabro, I struggled with porn in years past; in spite of my wretchedness, the Lord set me free through a revelation of His love. I know He loves you... keep moving forward. With Him, no matter how miserable our failure, there is abundant hope because He is faithful.

Its just like this body is tearing me up inside and outside. I desire to be with a beautiful woman. Shallowness is what I call it. Ya I'm coming down hard on myself. But God is not going to give me what I want but what I need. I'm just so confused at this point and all I can do is weep cos this is getting to become to much. BUT! I won't walk away from my LORD. EVER!.

as others of said we all have our struggles. they might not be the same, but we all have them. I pride you for being open with us about yours specifically, but I know as well as others have already testified, that the Lord can deliver you from those things. Remember the scripture that He gave you in your dream and don't let guilt keep you from walking to the throne. we all mess up but His mercy, oh I cannot grasph how great it is, it is beyond my feeble mind, but His mercy and His love is enough for you as He told Paul. Praying for you and don't give in to the guilt. Ask for help and He will help you. He told us this . and He wouldn't lie. And although He doesn't come when we want, He comes on time, patience is hard to learn but good things happen when we wait on the Lord. He didnt bring you this far just to leave you . He still working on you, on all of us . Stay strong and give your burdens to him
