Gundam Seed two series, who's seen them?

the new series, Destiny, copies so much off the first series.. lots of similarity, and i cannot figure out why they made a new character that looks exactly like Kira save the eye colour.. so confusing...

Let me get this straight... The new series has basically the same characters but they have scrapped the old story and given them new backgrounds and stuff?

yep, but many of the old char are still there execpt those who died, but it was good beginnig and the first serie was good.

I have seen the first serie and 8 eps of new one, i like it but i want Kira and Azuran, their Gundams Freedom and Justice

I liked Seed, and I like Destiny. Though I didn't really care much for the new "good guys' Gundam (the one that has to assemble like Gekigangar or something), but I got over that pretty quick.

I like that they continued Seed into Destiny, and I hope that it continues with a good story, but I think it is too soon to really give a good critique of Destiny. We just need to wait a little while to see how the story progresses.

Be that as it may, I havn't really seen much of the original, and probably never will. From what I have seen, most who saw and liked the original see Seed as a sort of rip off. Those who never got into the original (my Gundam experiances started with Wing), generally like Seed for all the same reasons that fans of the original liked it.

Well SEED is also just a rip-off of the old UC gundam series, doesn't hurt to rip off from it

I am half way through the first series, because it is airing on CN right now so I am watching it for free on TV instead of buying the dvds. So far I like it, and can't wait for Destiny to come out in America.

Same here. I've missed a few episodes, though, due to my falling asleep.
It comes on at midnight(central time)...I wish SEED was still on Toonami. Oh well, atleast Kenshin comes on now!

I know what you mean be falling asleep, I hate it when I do that(especially if it is a good episode). That's why I record just in case I fall asleep or don't want to stay up that late. It also comes on at 1:00 for me since I am eastern so usually I just watch it when I get up. And atleast they put something good on to replace SEED on Toonami, I was wondering when they were going to air Kenshin again.

I totally forgot about the recording idea! Thanks for reminding me! I can't believe I didn't think of that sooner...I mean, that's what I did when Gundam 0080 came on.
