CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I like Gundam. I don't know that I'm a "Big Fan", though others would probably say I am.
Not G Gundam though. It's terrible and needs to be burned whenever found.

I don't know how bad G Gundam the only Gundam series I saw on T.V. was gundam wing, I was going to buy G Gundam manga until read it was about then I didn't want to waste my money. I love the Gundam Seed Astray and Gundam Wing last outpost.

Gundam Wing and Seed are both good (Wing was what got me onto the Gundam franchise). 08th MS Team was pretty cool, too, though a little more gritty.
It's a good thing you didn't waste your money on G. A friend of mine did, even after I saw it on Cartoon Network and told him not to. Then he kept telling me "I'm sure it'll get better soon!" and kept buying it! When it was all said and done, he came to me and said "Well, that was one of the worst animes I've ever watched." I told him that he couldn't buy any more anime without my approval.

I all know for sure about G Gundam there suits are super weak in Gundam Battle assualt 2 I use for practice in Vs. mode before a went up against a real suit. I probably well end up play through G Gundam street mode only though to unlock Epyon. I think you would need to be drunk or high to like Gundam. 08th Ms team which time line wa s that in. What do you think of the anime movie appleseed I found in a walmart discount rack for $10.

I'm not really sure what Appleseed has to do with anything, but since you are talking about one you found on a '$10 discount rack', I'm going to guess that you are talkng about the old Appleseed movie. I thought it was terrible. The manga was pretty cool as I recall (havn't read it in ten years), but they messed up all sorts of stuff and made all kinds of errors in the actual animation of the movie. It was just bad.

Not a big fan... yet. My anime club is showing Gundam Seed next semester, though, and if it's as good as I'm hearing, yes, I will become a big fan.

I am a big fan of 08 MS team and G gundam but i have never really got into seed. and i cant stand SD

My favoriote is Wing and always will be I never could really get into G Gundam, my experience seed and main gundam universe is limited to manga. I hated the anime people when was away at college they were all a bunch of dragon ball z freaks.

2.) Char's Counterattack
3.) Original Series (Movie Version)
4.) Gundam 0083
5.) Original Series (TV Version)
6.) 08th MS Team
7.) Gundam 0080
8.) G Gundam
9.) Gundam Wing
10.) Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz
11.) Gundam SEED
When you've seen the original series, there's next to nothing to get out of Gundam SEED. They just go over the same things, but in a much less interesting way.
My favorite time period is probably the One Year War, but Zeta is still my favorite series. The Gryps conflict I think is less interesting as a whole due to the relatively small scale of it compared to the one year war, but the way Zeta is incredible in the way it makes you care about the characters, and the way it brings back old characters without letting them steal the spotlight.
And for the record, it's not really Gundam unless someone gets slapped.

By the way, they are in the process of showing zeta gundam as a movie trilogy in Japan right now (similar to what they did with the original series). The first two parts have been shown to considerable box office success. The animation has even been partly updated for all of you people who don't watch eighties anime just because of the animation quality.
here is the trailer for the first one and here is the trailer for the second one.
Personally I doubt that these will top the original series for me, even though I liked the movie version of the original series better than the tv version (but that was because the movie version gets rid of a lot of stupid stuff like the gundam modules and unnecessary gundam transformation sequences. Zeta didn't really have anything annoying like that, and I happen to know that they excise a few plot lines that I really liked.) But if they bring these over to the states I will probably pick them up just for the new animation, it really is incredible.
One thing I do find amusing about the first trailer is that it makes clear that Char is present in the series and even points him out. Technically that's a spoiler as it is never explictly mentioned until the eighth episode (which would probably be in the latter half of the movie). But they drop so many hints that I'm pretty sure that everyone familiar with the first series is supposed to figure it out. They even make fun of it in episode 33 where Char's identity is revealed (though at least the fourth time in the series, and that's not counting the hints) and Kamille responds by saying "some secret!"

Another cool piece of information: You can apparantly buy a 1:1 scale model of the head of Gundam F91 (auction ends soon).
If nothing else view the auction for pictures which will give you a sense of the size of an actual mobile suit.

Do you mean the original manga, the Origin (which has some fairly significant plot changes, but is pretty much the original series) or Tomino's three part novelization (which contains some very infamous departures from the original plot; let's just put it this way: at the time he wrote the books he didn't think that he would ever make a sequel.)Argyle Park said:
