Women are more susceptible to deception because she is the weaker vessel, and Satan knew this, which is why he chose to trick Eve instead of Adam. Adam transgressed as Eve did, but the difference is that Adam knew full-well what he was doing when he ate that fruit, but Eve was deceived by Satan's words. Still today, Satan uses men and women alike to tug at the heart strings of women with new-age false doctrine, and the Bible warn us about the deception of the heart:

The heart is deceitful above all things, so because of that, women become more prone to that deception because they are designed to be tender and gentle of heart. That tenderness and gentleness is a great asset in certain situations, especially during times of injury and illness, but when it comes to truth and Biblical division, it can be a hurdle.

This question is for complementarians. Can Women Be Pastors?

Women are the intellectual and spiritual equals of men in every way. I do not for a moment buy this talk of a "weaker vessel". That is the view of patriarchy --- perhaps the most pernicious evil that human beings have ever inflicted on themselves.

Weaker vessel doesn't mean less smart.

So that is why you chose the word "gullibility" for the title of this thread? Gullibility is just another patriarchal put down for women.

Adam did what I think any real man would do, suffer along with his wife he loves even it meant death. I'm not saying its right, but we are human, we have emotions and the love for eve would make it hard to let her die without going out with her.

Was this posted in another thread, or where ? (It's good and right, or closer than most anyway).
Why did men fall (not just women) for the false new-age doctrine that opposes Scripture so much ?

Men and women have differences on average.

They certainly do but my focus was on their intellect and spiritual worth. In that respect the difference on average a minimal or non-existent.

1 Timothy 2:12

Here the writer is clearly giving his opinion "I do not permit". There is not the slightest suggestion here that whoever wrote 1 Timothy is speaking for God. I am convinced that he is reflecting the culture of extreme patriarchy that was characteristic of that time and place.

Our cultural understandings today are quite different. My own view is that any organization, religious or secular and including marriage, that fails to include women in leadership roles right up to the very top is guilty of several evils. First, it is the insult to the women themselves by viewing them as less worthy. Second, it is the insult to God by denigrating half of God’s creation. If we continue to treat women in this way, then the human race is condemned to stand on one foot, see with one eye, hear with one ear and think with one half the human mind ---- and it shows. If that makes me a "social justice warrior feminist" then I will wear that label proudly.

Look at verse 5. Paul is speaking with apostolic authority, says he's telling the truth and not lying. How can you say he's wrong?

I did not say that he was wrong. I did suggest that his words no longer apply in a different cultural context.

Problem of course being that if you start applying that to any religious text there might be not much left anymore and even less in the future.

Some people get distressed of these kind of developments.

It is not giving women less worth them having a different role. Like all feminists, you want a woman to be exactly what a man is. God did not create man and man. Women and men are designed to have strengths and weaknesses and for the other to pick up the slack in the other.

The problem is most women are so insecure that they cannot handle the beautiful things that God gave us as women.

It's women who think they are less worthy most often. Not men telling women they are less worthy

I am not all feminists, I am one feminist. Please do not try to tell me what I believe or what I want.

God did not create man and man.

I agree.

Women and men are designed to have strengths and weaknesses and for the other to pick up the slack in the other.

Women and men were not designed, they evolved. In both patriarchy and matriarchy there is only dominance rather than "picking up the slack".

I disagree completely.

That's not what the Bible says.

Genesis 2:4-25 New King James Version (NKJV)
4 This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, 5 before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; 6 but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.

7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

Life in God’s Garden
8 The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. 9 And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

10 Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads. 11 The name of the first is Pishon; it is the one which skirts the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. 12 And the gold of that land is good. Bdellium and the onyx stone are there. 13 The name of the second river is Gihon; it is the one which goes around the whole land of Cush. 14 The name of the third river is Hiddekel;b it is the one which goes toward the east of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates.

15 Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

18 And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” 19 Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him.

21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. 22 Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.

23 And Adam said:

“This is now bone of my bones
And flesh of my flesh;
She shall be called Woman,
Because she was taken out of Man.

24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

So I take it you don't believe the Bible?
