One of my hobbies is producing intabulations of vocal music not found elsewhere. If you play guitar or even ukulele, I would be interested in any feedback you might care to offer. There are also a few teaser videos on youtube of what the tabs sound like. At

Hi, i'm still pretty new to this type of sound playing. Could you possibly direct me to say a beginner feel or song that is best to learn first? Thanks!

Hi Pax,

what's your current area of expertise? If delving into antiquarian music for the first time, the best place to start is probably the earliest works, in this case those under the Mediaeval Tabs page. There is a progression in Western sacred music from early plainchant--a single melodic line or voice--thence to polyphony--two or more melodic lines at the same time--and onto music based more on harmony by the time of the Baroque period.

A good piece to start with would be the chants from the Missa de Angelis. There I took the melodies and combined them with simple guitar-friendly harmonies. Look up the tunes on youtube, for example, to see how they are chanted and go with the flow. You're in the driver's seat. Feel free to ask other questions if this response does not quite address what you had in mind or if new questions pop up.

Inspired by a passage in the biography George MacDonald and His Wife, I attempted to arrange Handel's Largo from Xerxes. It is a simple arrangement and does not convey the richness of the original, but it should prove more accessible to the amateur guitarist. It appears about four-fifths of the way down the page:
