Guild Wars

Anyone play this? I bought it a while back because it got such great ratings, but I have so far failed to see the big draw of it. Most of the people there are jerks, and the gameplay is mediocre at best. Enemies get way too hard way too quickly, and the quests just seem like random pointlessness that don't really have any major significance to the storyline (if there is one beyond the intro).

Am I missing something?

People used to be much better with noobs. You must just be unlucky.
I personally play PVP now. And you have to play it a while to let it grow on you. I guess. Play it long enough and you might like it, you might not. It's fun though to play with other people, in my opinion.

Just keep with it for awhile, and make sure you aren't being a jerk yourself, too.

I tried it a while back, but went back to WoW and my RP server. Guild Wars just kinda... bored me a little.

Funny...I tried WoW for a little while, then went back to Guild Wars. It really wasn't worth the money to play and not be able to do anything FUN till level 1 billion. After all, I HAVE a life, lol. I don't have time to spend all the time it requires to milk the little fun it has out of the whole thing.

Haha. Notice that my avatar is from Guild Wars? That's my Rt/Mo =) I know, it was my favorite character from any MMOs. I went back to WoW after Guild Wars bored the heck outta me. But nowadays, I tend to stay off the computer for a bit.

Idk, I'm enjoy healing people in MMOs more than killing them. I love being a support class.

I prefer bashing in skulls with my hammer warrior. He's better now that i've got him an elite skill or two...but he's not perfect, either. I'm still experimenting with him.

I have Factions and can't say I am a big fan of the game. I find it kind of boring.

After playing on Xbox Live for a bit you will become desensitized to pretty much everything happening in games where the chat feature is text based.

Well the expansion GWEN is out. I just bought it, and they gave me a gwen tee shirt with the game. I went to my local music/game store, rather than target or walmart.

Factions wasn't as great as the other expansions in my opinion. With Nightfall there is the option of Heroes to unlock, and of course the predictable PvP version Hero Battles. Besides, you have to look at GW as more of a player experience. And the story is fairly intriguing. As far as myself goes, I'm all for creating a powerful character, and I must unlock all the skills for the build I need to MAKE that powerful character. All before I leave for the Navy in January,

And I tend to like PvP battles; just make sure you have a good build. Build meaning a good set of skills and points located in the proper attributes, as well as the right profession mix, lol.
