I'm just popping in this morning to let you know that I am leaving in a few hours to drive to Indiana (18 hours 1 way) to go to my daughters graduation... so I won't be back to CF till late Sun night or Mon.

May we remember today that we are called unto fellowship with Jesus Christ. For that is what discipleship is all about: knowing Christ, loving Christ, abiding in Him. May we not get caught up in the movement of Christianity, doing things for Christ, and forget to sit at His feet.

Of course we want to and we ought to serve God, but we must learn to first minister to Jesus Christ as His disciple before we can minister to others.

Help us today, dear God, to spent time with Jesus, to sit with Him, to speak with Him, to listen to Him, and to learn to value the time we spend with Him as much as He does.

We have nothing to lose and everything to gain as we surrender our hearts to Jesus.

Matthew 10:39 (KJV) He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

We really have nothing that God needs but our hearts. He is omnipotent and omnipresent, all wisdom, the beginning and the end, and if we go to Him with anything but our hearts, it's a shame.

If we live without giving God our hearts, we are living in ignorance. If we teach without giving God our hearts, we are teaching in ignorance. If we breathe without giving God our hearts, we are breathing in ignorance and futility.

May we consider today what is keeping us from totally surrendering our hearts to Jesus, as we ponder His love and His Word.

Luke 9:23-27 (KJV) 23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. 24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. 25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away? 26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels. 27 But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

Help us, dear Jesus! Guide our hearts and increase our faith so we can totally surrender to you today.
