I'm not convinced that any teenager has the wit and wisdom to solve the world's problems. It's easy enough to point them out. Fixing them is not so simple. My question is, why is she getting so much attention?

I follow the Lord Jesus Christ, born of His Spirit and washed in His blood. The same Lord Jesus, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, told the Pharisees that their father is the devil. If you are not born of God, you are not a child of God. Romans 8:15, Galatians 4:6.
If you are trying to say that all people are created in God's image, I agree. But it not the same thing.

She's an appealing image and she speaks well.

She hasn't been offereing solutions to the worlds problems, more asking that people actually acknowledge that they exist and take responsibility for doing something about it.

Hi Emmylouwho, if we are ~ALL~ God's children, then what would be the point of His giving us the right to become His children through faith?

p.s. - not only were we ~not~ His children before we became Christians (like all other unbelievers), it appears that we were also His "enemies", and He ours, until we came to faith in Jesus.

Because she has the will power and bravery to not accept the ineptitude of older generations, content on allowing my generation to suffer the consequences of a global catastrophe.

Her age has zero to do with her capacity to understand the recommendations that followed from the scientific consensus on climate change.

What's childish is ignoring it.
