I thought I'd pop my head in and say hello lest someone think I'm a bot. I just moved to a new, more conservative area and am trying to find a liturgical church. There are 2 ECUSA churches about the same distance (15 miles) from my home in opposite directions. There are two Lutheran churches; one Missouri Synod and the other ELCA. The Missouri Synod one is less than 5 miles away - that would be great! However, I feel that it might be too conservative. The next closest to me is a United Methodist Church but it may be too conservative, too.

It's hard for me to visit new churches; I have some social anxiety. I'd prefer one to be close enough that I can get to it in a jiffy (with the idea being that I'd be more participatory).

Anyway, I hope to post more soon.

As for the LCMS church- you never know what you're going to get. The church I attend is fiercely non-political, although we have both a strong program of pro-life work in the local area through supporting women's centers and a strong sense of social justice missions through local and international networks of charity, building programs, and microfinance investment.

It really depends on whether you're on the East/West Coasts or in the Midwest. It seems you're in California so you may be in luck.

That's a good question. It could be that, like the radio in my Nissan, it is backlit (tinted, if you will) with an amber glow. Others may be backlit blue or maybe even green!

But who knows? radioTint could be a simple anagram, too.
