Hi there,
I'm not terribly good with introductions so I apologize in advance. I started driving truck about 3 years ago, that in and of itself was stressful at first, coupled with the extremely long late nights I became chronically ill. Thankfully I've settled in, made schedule changes, and have recovered physically, but during that time the longing for God really began to rise in me and Christian radio became an important part of my life on the road, and my faith has been growing steadily. I'm looking to engage in fellowship now, and here I'm sure will be good for that, and also for advice on how to find a good church, as I'm sure pretty much everyone here will have more experience at that than me (I've been ~4 times in my life).

Thank you all
I spent a good amount of time just poking around reading yesterday. I've had very little in depth interaction with Christians and it's all quite interesting.
Some things I wasn't expecting, like the large number of people that believe in evolution and non-literal interpretations of early genesis. Frankly I was concerned I'd be alone in that regard and if the topic ever came up at a church I'd be forced to lie about it or be excluded.
Some things unfortunately were expected, conforming to stereotype, such as people writing essays, quoting half the Bible, etc. in response to something, basically saying what they want to say rather than really consider what the reader needs to read.
But on the positive, there are some posts that leave me thinking, 'wow, the spirit is really in this person!', and it's a beautiful thing.
