hey guys I am in a debate over Tongues in another forum and when I give these people Greek words and the scripture they are refering to in a greek translation they are lost. I have my Greek Bible and Greek/English dictionary by me whenever I go through certain things Tongues being one for sure.

Does anyone know of a website that had Greek/English Bible with a dictionary?

My friend and fellow young calvinist, be careful using greek based just on a dictionary. There is a reason Greek courses are weed out courses at some seminaries. There is alot more to greek than just the given definition today from what I understand.

There is something to be said for people making there life study the greek language and greek exegiesis, there is a TON of material to cover there.

yes understood. I know that its hard to fully comprehend Greek by dictionary's and I am thinking about taking Greek in college it would be awesome to be able to read the Bible with no translations.

Translation isn't the problem. The problem is the limited vocabulary. The American/English language doesn't have enough words to describe things like emotions effectively. As in I "love" my dog...I "love" my wife...I "love" my country...I "love" my God...I "love" chinese food..... Obviously it isn't the same kind of love but that's what we have....

What I have run into is that such persons deny anything we learn in school. They will not listen to those who have a little education, crying that education takes away from the Holy Spirit, whom they claim is their only teacher and the only reliable teacher. These have no perception that the Holy Spirit can also use teachers and schools to teach us legitimately.

I give another caution-usuing just a lexicon may not be such a good idea, since pop-le speak in phrases not single words. You need to only the meaning of the word, but how it is used grammatically, or else you can be lead into many errors. So you should probably get something that discusses grammar as well.
