This book is probably the book that took me from simple thinking into the doctrines of grace (I was also reading A W Pink studies in the scriptures at the time) it is NOW back in print and is my fav history book also , because history comes to life through the thinking of many great minds , many debates and many debating and desiring the Truth about God and His salvation .......be warned if you buy this book you will not want to put it down

Pink is so great & easy to read as far as theologians go. I first read something of his after Van Til, WOW! What a difference!!

absolutely right ........... I am noticing the same difference between John Owen and Francis Turretin ...........

Francis Turretin on the Atonement is just amazingly straight forwrd but not in the least bit shallow , he takes on all the arguements for a General atonement and shows them to be false , Owen is Great but hard work.........
