I just wanted to Praise God that my marriage is wonderful. Too often on forums we don't say anything unless we need advice because our marriage is in the pits, or we're having trouble with our kids or problems on the job or whatever. But you know what, God wants us to be thankful when things are just status quo. My life is simple and pleasant. I want nothing more. Thank you God for the peace and love in my marriage and in my home. May every family be as happy.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I agree! It's scary most of our topics consist of vents, and complaints (of course there is a time for this, and that's one of the purposes for this forum) but it would be nice to see a healthy balance!
Yes my dh is unsaved but for the most part we have a pretty good marriage,and have it better off than most "christian" marriages

Amen! I am also thankful for my marriage. It is my second marriage and we've been married for over 10 years now. I see God working in our lives everyday and it is so wonderful to see my husband turning into a Godly man every year. Praise God! Hallelujah!!

Im a blessed with a wonderful marriage and awesome husband. Sometimes I can't bleieve he can love me as much as he does. Lol but i know he does, he tells me all the time. God is always working in our marriage and you can see it all the time.

I'm glad you posted this! You are right...we also need to hear from others here on the forums who God's been blessing and things are going great! We need that encouragement! I have an awesome marriage. It is such a blessing. We keep our focus on God and we see God answering prayers and working mightily in and around us. It's totally awesome. Henry is my best friend and I couldn't ask for a better husband, father, business partner, etc. Neither of us are complaining people, nor do we feel the need to vent anymore. We are typically in a thankful, praising attitude and boy, has our marriage changed significantly. We are empowered to step out in faith and watch God do some magnificant things.
I refuse now to get involved in a downward spiral of thinking because that's listening to lies. Once you get absorbed in that way of thinking, it just sucks you further and further down. It's totally amazing when you have a continual thankful heart how your world changes and how people view you.

Good to be reminded of positive vibes thanks a million. Even the not so perfect marriages often have good things for which the spouses can if they choose to be grateful about! I thank God my dh is such a supportive father for our daughter. I truly love that about him!
