A poem to Jesus. Praise Him, I love Him!

One day my life just turned to crap, and in panic then I prayed
Jesus came into my house and saw the mess I had made,
Lights turned off and my wounded soul crying in my bed
He looked around at what I'd done, I saw Him shaking His head.

Then He looked into my heart.

"Em, what have you done?"
God, I just don't know, I think my mind is gone
The serpent slithered around...
Now I'm broken, chained and bound

I thought that maybe I could look, but don't touch,
But it looked so good, it was just too much,
I didn't mean to fall, I swear,
I stumbled and my foot was caught in a snare

The darkness came, but looked like light,
I found it out, and it started to fight,
I forgot to keep my eyes on You,
And I didn't know what to do.

Jesus, I'm so sorry, are you mad at me?
"No, my daughter, just open your eyes and see"
"There's nothing but love when you come back to me"
"I came to heal you and set you free"

Suddenly the lights turn on, and I see what is around me,
Vermin that is in my house, creepy things surround me.
But as soon as Jesus speaks they all flee out of the room,
He smiles at me and I feel like He has washed away the gloom

"Your chains are gone, so take my hand"
"When the serpent comes, just take your stand"
"Remember that I bled for you"
"Now there is nothing that he can do"

But I'm frightened, Lord, I feel like running,
I couldn't see through the serpent's cunning,
There are demons and dragons everywhere,
"I won't let them take a single hair"

"Let's clean your house and close the door"
"You see, I've already won this war"
"All of you belongs to me"
"So speak my name, watch the enemy flee!"

Now my mess is fixed, I know God is near,
There is nothing around me that I should fear,
My house is cleansed, and my soul restored,
I love You Jesus Christ, my Lord!

This is a Great poem Emli! I simply Love It! You have a great way of writing, it is more what I'd call a good story poem. Like a little story in poem style.

And I must say I recognize myself in some of your experiences too, also why I had to laugh a bit sometimes. I also got into quite a mess, but God has been leading me through every experience.

He also reminded me of keeping my eyes fixated on Jesus Christ!

What a Loving and Powerful God we have! Who always cares for us, and never stops helping us out!

I'm pretty sure that Jesus wrote this for me, I just feel His Hand all over it. And His voice and His smile. And it makes me laugh too!

We are so blessed to have Him! We are so good at making a mess of everything, but He is so much better at fixing our messes, so no darkness will ever be able to really overcome us.
