Heres a Christian 'Article' I wrote, and I was wondering if you'd like to read it and give me feedback. Thanks for reading!

When Jesus died, it wasnt like anything we have today. Compared to what we went, you would've seen being shot or lethal injection as heaven. Having yourself beheaded or hung was what you would have begged for. I mean flip; you would have wanted to be hung-drawn-quartered before this.
Jesus was killed Roman-style. And believe you me; they knew how to kill people.
First off, Jesus was whipped with a whip made of leather, lead and bone. This would rip out eyes, and tear stomachs. This was the whip that was used to dish out the death sentence. 40 hits could kill you. He probably got 39, or close to it. By the end of it, you would've been able to seen the bone. His back had just been ripped to shreds. During all of this, people had been throwing verbal abuse at him, mocking him. And to top it all of, they slammed a crown of thorns on his head. Not the pathetic thorns you sometimes see. We're talking one inch long or more.
Next he had a wooden crossbeam tied to his back. This may have been double his arm span and at least his own weight. This was tied around each wrist, so to drop it he could have to fall back onto it, or it on to him (which happened once of twice). Take make all of this experience worse, the wood wasnt nice mahogany, smooth and varnished. It was a huge, rough and splintery plank rubbing on his mucked up back. Then he was forced to carry it around the city, then up a mountain. I dont really know, but Im guessing this wouldve been more than 5 miles.
Now up the top of the mountain, the real pain begins. Jesus is crucified. But first, if you get your arm, and on your wrist feel in the middle. You may be able to feel a gap. This is because in your upper arm you have two bones. Now, when Jesus was nailed to the cross, he wasnt nailed in the hands like we often think. He was nailed in between those two bones. Then the same though both ankles (joining the two feet together). For the next 6-8 hours Jesus was hung up by his skeleton.
Some of you may thing that you die on the cross from blood loss, or pain. But this would be wrong. There are two was people sometimes died, and these were suffocating and drowning (yes, I kid you not, drowning)
Suffocating: As your arms where stretched out, the muscles in your chest would contract, pushing into your lungs, making it hard to breath. To be able to breath, you had to lift yourself up, putting pressure on your wrist and ankles, causing you horrible pain. Eventually, you got to exhausted to keep doing this, or, if the Romans got bored, the broke your legs so you couldn't lift yourself up.
Drowning: The fluids from your body filled up your lungs, unt'll it was full and you drowned.
There, you just had the how. Here comes the why.
Jesus loves you. He loves you more than anything. He loves you more than Mum and Dad put together. He loves you more than you love yourself. And his love is unconditional. You can sin, you can kill, you can worship Satan (although not lifestyles I would recommend) and he would still love you more than anything else in the world. And he will forgive you, whatever you've done. As long as you mean it when you say to him 'Sorry'. Thats all it takes. And all of this is grace. Grace is the gift, the unconditional love we receive that there is no way in a monkeys butt we deserve.
Ironically, he died when we were at our worst, with poverty and war. Thats how much he loved us.
Now here comes the final blow, the knock that hits this into what it is. This is the truth, and the not to nice a truth. The death he died, the death that he want through, he didn't deserve. He had a small plaque above his head when he was being hung that said 'Jesus, King of the Jews'. The people next to him had larger plaques with smaller writing; they'd actually done something, but not Jesus. No, he died so that we wouldn't. It should've been you and me going through what I just described. It should have been us that were tortured unbelievably. But no. He went through all of that pain because he loved us so much. He went through all of that to save us from receiving the same punishment. He did that, to save us from the second death, an eternity in hell.
But its not as easy as that. He hasnt handed us a free ticket. We have to make a decision. It says in the bible 'The only way to the Father is through me'. Simply, the only way to heaven is through following him, or becoming a Christian as it is today. And if we do that, then we can go to heaven when we die. And Jesus will be there to welcome you. He'll give you a huge hug and be so glad that you made it. And an eternity of partying begins. So its easy, except the gift in all its substance. Commit your life today, right where you are, to God.
Its easy, just Pray this prayer, or something else if it comes to mind.
'Lord, you died for me because you love me. You went through something that I deserved, so that I can be with you for eternity. So Lord, I thank you and give my life to you. I want to die and live again with you as a Christian. Lord, I give my self to you now, unconditionally. Please fill me with your Holy Spirit and let me feel your love.'
And there you have it. Whether you feel it or not, if you meant what you just said, your now a Christian. CONGRATULATIONS!!! The angels are having a party for you in heaven. Jesus is throwing you a bash cos hes SO HAPPY!!! Now go tell someone what you've done. Ask a Christian to pray for you. A wonderful journey is about to begin for you!
