Back in 1936 Fiorello LaGuardia, Who was later the mayor of New York City was a probate judge. A poor man was caught for stealing bread and was brought to his court.
Judge LaGuardia found the man guilty and fined him 10.00
However the Judge paid the fellows fine himself.
Then he fined the courtroom $ 50.00 for living in a town where a man had to steal bread.
Then he took up a $ 47.50 collection from the courtroom to give to the poor man.
That's grace friends !!!
We christians are blessed, Not only to have the ultimate price already "paid in full" for us, but also to be offered abundant life with the instilled knowledge of our blessed hope.
May we take a moment and praise our personal Grace Giver.
Thank You dear Jesus for the sacrifice that You made that dreary day on that old wooden cross at Calvary, To redeem me, "An absolutely, Unworthy and very guilty sinner" who deserves the very punishment that You Yourself bore in my stead.
Jesus thank You for the unmerited love and favor You have shown all through my life, Even when I have failed to acknowledge You for what you have done.
I love You Jesus and ask that You will please continue to guide my steps as I stumble though the minefield of life, May I never forget to thank You for each time that You bring me safely through the battle.
Forever Yours
Your humble servant.
