Anyone else heard of this? It's basically a remix of Amazing Grace with a chorus

Totally awesome song, i learned it down at IHOP this summer. One of my friends showed me the chords and stuff, it is so simple.

I am guessing by IHOP you are meaning, International House of PRAYER and not pancakes.

I would personally like it better if they'd kept the oringial melody to Amazing Grace, and then added the chorus (like what they did with The Wonderful Cross, when they took When I Survey The Wonderous Cross, and added a new chorus). To me, the melody to this is kinda flat, and dull. But hey, that's only what I think of it, all my friends at school thought I was nuts when I told them I didn't like it, but hey, that's just what I think of the song, and if people like it and it reaches people, well then keep on singing it!

I agree-I think it would have been better as the melody used for the "Amazing Grace" portion is very flat lined. But like you said, that is a personal taste thing-and yes, the song is still beautiful.
