Goodbye Tinkerbell. You were such a happy little hamster for the short 3 months that I had you. For such a small little girl you certainly wrapped yourself around my and my dad's hearts and you even wiggled your way into mom's. You loved running around the room exploring every nook and cranny. I am glad that if you had to leave that you were happy until the end and went peacefully away. I know if God lets animals into heaven, then you are definitely there now entertaining God just as you did me. I love you and I miss you so.

I've had 3 hamsters over the years and they meant a lot to me...

Is there a cause of death you know about?

If not then the reason she died is simply from being baught from petsmart. (Most likely)
Over half the of the people who buy small rodents from petsmart/petco they end up dead.(Proven years back)

Breeding mills, being housed with sick cage mates, non clean housing, ect.

Word of advice, buy from a breeder next time so you wont have to deal with another loss.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss lilouisianagal . I know what it feels like to lose a pet, I lost one of my hamsters Gypsy a few months ago. May Tinkerbell rest in peace and if pets do get into Heaven, maybe she is with my Gypsy . Tinkerbell's Spirit and love will always live in you and your parents. That is so true! The other hamsters I had lived years...the one from PetSmart only lived 2 weeks! Next time I get a hamster, I am going to a breeder or decent pet store.

One more thing I wanted to add. When my hamster died (the one from PetSmart) I took the reciept and the animal back to the store for a full refund. (Actually, it was really depressing and my husband helped me take it back--so, you might not want to go through all of that, but I thought I'd pass along the info for you anyway.)

my family used to have a hamster, we all loved so much, and it was pretty hard for us when he passed away.
