Seriously, this place has gotten to be pretty disgusting as of late. Lots of bitterness between each other in the forums and the most heart breaking is the lack of patience from some of you who are older and often looked upon for help and spiritual growth.

I know I have had my share of problems around here but I have always enjoyed those of you who have been there and provided me with sound counsel as I have recently tried to give back in this area but its pretty much been to no avail as I would have better luck telling it to a brick wall. You guys take care, bye.

Your probably smart for leaving, I don't think Jesus would stay here either, actually from what we read about Jesus, He wouldn't be allowed to stay here, if thats any councilation

I been gone a while myself Robert. Sometimes we need a break to recalibrate our priorities. God will bring you back when it is time. Hope you are doing well and continue to walk in Faith.

Robert,
I find myself at a funny point recommending someone to stay here after describing what you have, but it does seem that at many times this forum has provided a sort of journal spot for you to get feelings and thoughts out in the open where God can deal with them, sometimes getting good feedback, sometimes bad.

If it's something I said in the past, please forgive the limitations of my flesh in this journey toward listening to what the Spirit wants me to say. If it's people like the Sabbatarian inserting themselves here, and those who wish to put a burden on young believers (like Lordship salvation) that they themselves aren't able to carry, please take these comments with a grain of salt. Separate the fish from the bones; keep the fish, throw away the bones.

Robert, I've just suffered a totally unexpected heart attack and just got out of the hospital last night. I ask that you stay at lease until I can get your thoughts on my reflections on this experience and trial. When I can get my thoughts together I will start a thread on the Baptist forum. As you can imagine, much to do today.

You have made an impact on my life with your thoughts, both your insights and your trials. I have learned more and am a better Christian because of my correspondence with you. :)

In Christ,
H.

Well it's unfortunate, Robert, but I know exactly what you mean. I stayed away from this forum for a long time for some of the reasons you may be talking about. However, recently I've felt God lead me back here. Whether for my own benefit, or for others, I am not sure. I generally try to avoid arguments, however. They never resolve into anything, even if people say it's a 'debate'.

However, I don't know what it is you've been experiencing, so I can't advise you on whether to go or to stay. You're the best one qualified to make that choice, knowing yourself better, that is.

In either case, God bless, and I pray your faith in Christ will strengthen as a result.

QFT. I'm not entirely sure G-D placed us here to debate doctrines of men.

Peace Robert. I hope to see you in the next.

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. We all go though troubles, and no one said as a Christian that we would not have problems no one is without problems, because of disagreements in worshipping the Lord we have so many denominations, and people who claim the name of Jesus want to fight about who's doctrine is right or wrong? What would Jesus Christ say or do if he were in this position?

He probably would sell all the churches and their land to give to the poor. Then we'd call Him a legalistic hypocrite. And heck, who knows, maybe we'd crucify Him again. Oh, wait, that's not allowed. Maybe we'd make an exception.

Don't be so sure. Judas thought that the perfume should be sold and given to the poor instead of "wasted" on Jesus. Jesus corrected Judas' thinking by telling him we will always have the poor. That is not to say we shouldn't help the poor but the priority needs to be Jesus, not the social gospel.

...........and the most heart breaking is the lack of patience from some of you who are older and often looked upon for help and spiritual growth.
I'll be thinking of you Rob......... may His grace & peace be with you while you walk.

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

Does anybody know how to get in contact with Robert? I notice on one of his earlier posts that he went through something similar to what I'm going through at the moment.
Thanks
Haven't heard from Robert since. Just post your story and see if people respond. They will, and you will have to use discernment to sort through them.
