good start...... changing???

the last few nights my son wont sleep with me, i hold him and he falls asleep and if i dont put him in his own bed right away he wakes and fusses, and when i put him in his bed half awake, he finally puts himself to sleep.
he only wants to cuddle me for a nap or two in the day, and even then (like now) he fusses till i put him down and then he goes back to sleep....lol

i hope this is a pattern he is developing for good..lol

Oooo ... what a blessing that would be! Just enjoy it now incase he changes his mind later. Really, though, each babe is so different ... he may like knowing you are close for a while, but once he gets ready to hunker down and sleep, he may enjoy having his space. Heat, if it's hot where you live, might also have something to do with it. But whatever it is, enjoy! (And really, he is a cutie!)

Hope all future children follow in his footsteps! DS was like that, suprisingly easy, though we still had to train him to sleep with no 'bars' to fun.

DD on the other hand, well easy isn't what I would call it, but painless anyway. (fade out)

i notice he is developing a pattern...if i nap with him he wont sleep at night unless he is on me , he sleeps good by himself at night if i lay him in his bed by himself at each nap...little stinker didnt sleep at all last night

I know some one who decided to sleep with their baby and now the baby is 3 and they have problems even leaving him with a babysitter because he won't sleep without them. It might be a good idea to let your son sleep on his own that way he won't develop fears. When I had my first child, I had every nap with her for a few months. It is hard to let them sleep on their own.

That is not cause they slept with the kid in infancy it is cause they never stopped sleeping with him.
