i think is awesome!! i'm reading Amos again and this time more indepthly, i suppose.
i've been struggling on and off about the power of prayer. i've had so many prayers answered with big, hurtful "no"'s. in a way, you could say, i've lost my faith in prayer at times. i read in Amos 7 how the Lord was going to destroy Israel with killing their crops and with fire. When amos saw those visions the Lord gave him he prayed to the Lord saying, "O SOVEREIGN Lord, please forgive your people! Unless you relent, Israel will not survive, for we are only a small nation." GET THIS! the Lord replies, "I won't do it!" how awesome is that! God really listens to his children. he really listens to our prayers!! that was a HUGE encouragement to me!! he's so sovereign and can do as he wishes. we serve an amazing Father who sits with his kids and listens to what's on our minds. pretty cool!
