  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello, all!

I'm D, (aka BloomingWherePlanted) and I very much am looking forward to being a part of this forum! I'm a 32 year old mother of a sweet three year old daughter. I've been married for over 6 years, although currently my husband and I live seperately and are in counseling. I actually found this forum by doing a random search on "marriage ministries" and really liked the look and feel here... or the "vibe", I guess you could say.

I have been a member of a Baptist church in the old area of town I used to live in since 2001, but never felt "at home" there, and through most of my adult life my faith was fickle at best. My recent family tragedies have really made me re-evaluate everything. Now that I've moved there are a couple of Baptist churches on this side of town that I've heard great things about that I'm looking to get involved in when I don't work Sundays.

I finished cosmetology school a couple of months ago and am just one more exam away from having my hairdresser's liscence. I have a part time job right now until I get the liscence. I plan to work in a salon that specializes in childrens' cuts and styles.

Can't wait to know you all!
