Good Christian video games

Are there any good/decent Christian video games? Best thing I played was some kind of free FPS where you play as the Archangel Michael.

I haven[t played any, myself. Ther was one that i heard of called Orion or something like that. it was FP using a sword and bow & arrow and it was sometime I believe after the flood of Noah. Everytime I look it up it gives some sort of launch date and then i have to look it up again a year later to see when it has been postponed to...this has been going on for several years.

But Ireally would love to see some really good Christian games and movies surface. Not this crazy looking and low production B type stuff. Something to marvel at that we can take serious interest in and marvel at as we praise God!

You'll never see it. Especially when video game budgets are starting to reach that of blockbuster movie budgets, some in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Companies would never be able to recoup that kind of cash from a Christian based game (or movie for that matter).

What you're left with is independent designers making B Level products that will never compare to that of the mass market games. Even with complete game modding tools that could be used to create a whole new version of a game (think about Skyrim graphics with the new game changing toolset they are working on), you still end up with terrible voiceover work, animation, and story telling.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron looks pretty good. Has great reviews across the board.

Dantes Inferno was pretty close using vague bits and pieces but that's probably as close as you will get with today's gaming. Even then it was a direct copy of God of War 3 a much better game and the cross spam was ridiculous.

When I was 13 I went to something called the Christian Youth Developers Conference. They make video games with a christian theme.

Eternal War: Shadows of Light. Free FPS and decent for Christian shooters. This is probably the best Christian video game out so check it out.
-Online co-op capabilities
-Story modes expanding over 17 levels
-local games
-engine is/was released for modding

One game that is actually taken half seriously is Left Behind. There are three games so far and one on the way this holiday season. Based on the actual Left Behind book series.
