Name: Goliath
Age:
Gender: Male
Race: Afrikan
Appearance: A mountain of a man. (Literary comparisons: Goliath from "The Bronze Bow" and John Henry "The Steel-Driving Man"). The blackest of black skin, glittering eyes, shaved head (bigger than a cannonball) and a crooked white grin. Whip marks on his neck back and legs and chain marks on his wrists, neck and ankles. His hands are more than seven inches across at the palm and while he's never been accurately measured, it's safe to say he's well over seven feet high. What makes him so daunting is that added to his height is his sheer bulk, packed muscle in every square inch, and the sailors often joke that he could throw an ox across his broad shoulders as easily as a thin shepherd could throw a sheep across his own. That theory has never been tested. His clothing wore out months ago, so the largest sailor on the Hangman offerd up a pair of pants for poor Goliath. The poor gray trousers split immediately in two. So an extra sail was butchered into a pair of Goliath-sized trousers. He wears no shirt, as the Captain could not afford to spare another sail.
Personality: Unfortunately, it seems his brain didn't grow in proportion to his body. Seemingly unable to pronounce any words, Attolian or his native language, Goliath functions only in grunts and roars. He's very dull but very loyal. He just needs to find one kind person to whom he can attatch himself forever.
History: Since he can't speak for himself, no one knows much about Goliath's past or even his true name. However, it is known how he was captured. Having heard of a legendary warrior in a neighboring enemy tribe, the slavers gave the Jutsu tribe a drug which they coated their spear points in. Attacking at night, they ignored the entire tribe, focusing only on Goliath. It took eleven pricks to take him down, and caused five warriors from his hands alone, but finally they had him. Bound in twice-thickened chains, Goliath was dragged heavily drugged to the ship and thrown below. And there he has stayed, continually bound at hand foot and neck, in the hold for three months.
