Hi all! Praise the Lord, he is merciful and so worthy to be praised.Friends, it has been the longest week of my life. I just got home from D.C. My brother has just been so strong and so faithful, and I believe God has honored him for that. Just never down.Always tough. "This will not take me down without a fight"
This mass is inoperable. It's the size of a golfball. And it is behind his brain stem, leaning more towards his right side.So therefore his left side is being affected. The whole left side.It is amazing to me, what can happen from just a little pressure. There are resevoirs in your head where the fluid flows through. The mass is blocking the one on the right and part of the one on the left, so therefore, he developed hydrosephalous. He had to have a shunt put in, to give the fluid an out from his head. This is why he had headaches, seizures, and blurred vision. They put this "halo" on his head, to give them a computerized image of his brain, while they went in for mass matter. They took,10-14 slivers, and we waited rather impatiently for 8 hours instead of four, and pathology finally got what they needed. Now we have to wait 7-10 days before we know if it's benign or malignant. So,it's either radiation, or radiation and chem

ne good thing is that, cancer moves up in your body, they (the 10 neurologists at Walter Reed Medical Center in D.C)say because it's already in the top ,it can't spread lower. something else I didn't know. Either way, no matter what he will always have the shunt and he may need another one on the other side.Time will tell. They had told us that the first 6 hours would be the most crucial after surgery because he could hemorrage in his brain ,where they went in.He didn't, and the first hour after they were done, as soon as he woke up, he said"my throat hurts"(from the breathing tube) and "when can I eat, I'm starving!"
God is so faithful. So so faithful. This is really just the beginning of all of this, but I believe God after all of this, and him just going through this like he has, and the doctors being so shocked at how well hes doing...I believe God is not finished with Rocky yet.I know hes not.
Thankyou all for your prayers....remember,our God is an awesome GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Living for Him, Lori
