Going on my first retreat soon need info

I second that question! I think I may go on my first one too. What is it like? From things I have heard about retreats, everyone ends up crying and getting all emotional (yipes!). So, what are they like??

Alright, ive been on about 6 or 7 with my church.. within whom God is moving greatly its cool. Retreats are awesome if they are done right... always bring a bible, notebook, pen and whatever else your church wants you to bring. What happens is really cool, if the retreat is anything like ive been to you basicaly have every distraction removed and u can focus on God and when u do that if you dont do it often you tend to get emotional because you can see God more because all the distractions are out of the way and you can really focus on the speaker and God. Thats only some ppl, i know someone who has never had a really emotional experience but gets really excited(good way) when other people are impacted by God or get emotional. There is sometimes a lot of crying, like recently i went to one where they had a concert of prayer (if you dont know what it is, its like a focused prayer/singing service) and God just like overwhelmed me and it was very emotional, but it was also like the best feeling in the world to know that God loved me and had forgiven me, very cool. Well thats about all i know. I love retreats.
