i'm going to college in a few weeks. Staying in my state, but living on campus. Currently, my major is psychology. But, I don't know, I feel unfulfilled. Hopefully my choice of career will be clearer in the months to come.

I think my roomate said she was gonna double major in psychology and voice

i went to college near omaha, nebraska and i live in st. louis, missouri. so, about 8 hours away. it was VERY nice!! but be prepared -- no matter how much you want to leave home, you will most likely be homesick (at least a little bit!!)

I don't think I'll be too homesick. I went to france for three weeks last summer and I didn't get home sick, I did get english sick, by that I mean that I just wanted to go somewhere where they spoke English, so I think I'll be okay

alonesoilder, where in Georgia are you from?

I don't think I'll be homesick either. I went to Mexico for 3 weeks with people that I didn't know (but got to meet them :D ). I think I got Mexico-sick after I got home hehe.

LOL!!

I didn't have TIME to get France-sick when I got home, I didn't even get the chance to recover from jet-lag before I had to go to percussion camp, cuz I'd already missed the first day!

I'm going to a college that's about 40 minutes from home, so I'm going to commute back and forth. I'm excited to start college, but I'm starting to get back to school jitters. Does anyone get those? Nervous but excited? Maybe I'm just weird...

I start August 25th!

Yeah I probably will get those a few days before I go...I'll be worrying that I won't meet anyone and I won't have any friends and stuff like that lol :D

I have orientation week the first week of september then classes start august 7!

I probably won't see my family until Christmas, so I hope that goes ok (I won't mind it for the first month or so hehe..but after that I'm sure I'll actually miss them!)

My college will only be like 6-7 hours from home. I'm so excited I leave in just over two weeks! I doubt that I will get home sick, cuz I never have before and I've been gone like 2-3 weeks with people I barely knew and I didn't get homesick. I'm planning on majoring in Elementary Education, but if God wants me in something else I'll do that instead.

I can't wait to leave! I have about 6 weeks! Its driving me nuts. However, I am going to be a two hour plane ride (I think) or an 18 and a half car ride from home, so I won't see them till thanksgiving, I think, I don't know if they are coming up before then and I just don't know about it!

I'm going to school about an hour and a half away from my home. It's a small school. I'm going to be living on campus. I'm super excited about it. We move in August 31, and classes start like September 4th. I'm excited about doing my books/school supplies shopping. I think that's going to be fun. I have a full scholarship, and so I'm going to have like $950 on credit for this semester's books and supplies, so that rocks, cus I'll get to do some non-schoolbook shopping at the bookstore too. Rock on. I'm all about moving in and decorationg. I have a suite, so I'll be sharing a bathroom with three other girls. Not too horrid, I guess. I have absolutely no idea if I will get homesick. 2 or three weeks isn't much of a comparison to 9 months...so we'll see. I'm so close though, so I'll probably come home most weekends, cus lots of friends will come home, and I can ride with them, and I know I'll *hate* dorm life. Anyway...yeah, I'm super excited to leave!
