There is a story of a lady who is a great animal lover. She has a cat of her own and also feeds three others which come to her door. One of them is very timid. One day friends were visiting the ladys home, and watched as the lady spoke to the cat on the garage roof. to the visitors suprise the lady took a thick garden cane, reached up, and tickled the cat around the ears. It responded by rolling about and rubbing it's head round the cane.
"This cat is too nervous to be stroked on the ground so I have to show it love by remote control," she said.

I think this story sums up our relationship with God. While we are here on earth we can't actually touch Him, but his love is there if we streach out towards Him.
