  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

This maybe a small event, but it really touched me today. I recently had surgery on my gum and noticed that my jaw was swelling and hurting more over the last few days. I went back to the oral surgeon and he took one look at me and said "you have an infection". He prescribed me some antibiotics and as I was walking out, I thought to myself, oh this is just great. One more thing to deal with in my busy life.

Then as I was walking to my car in the parking lot, a lady in her early 40's I guess came up to me and in broken english asked if I would please help her. I said sure what do you need. She said she parked her car in the parking lot and now it wont start. She had this contraption in her car that has a battery and jumper cables and air pump all in one. She said that her husband had to use it to start the car this morning and she didnt know how to use it.

I said no problem, open the hood and I hooked it up and she started her car. I unhooked everything and put it back in her trunk and told her not to turn off her car till she gets home as either her charging system is working properly or more likely the battery is bad.

She tried to slip me a $10.00 bill for helping and I shrugged her off. No way I was going to take $10 from her. Then she looked me in the eye and said thank you so much. Then she said, I am going to pray to God on your behalf tonight! I was shocked. I never met her, I have never seen her before. I told her about the infection in my jaw and she said she would address it in her prayers.

I was really touched. I mean that has never happened to me ever in my life . I just felt God's presence and that he showed me how much he cares for me.

That was beautiful, I prayer, your jaw gets better too.
Never under-estimate the power of prayer, we may never fully understand how god works, but he works to make us do good and better of ourselves, so that we can do better for the world.

I am fairly new to all of this.
And this touched my heart.
God bless you.
