God's Grace Through Trials
It seems to me in time of trials,
The road of suffering stretches for miles.
Hazards and misery both abound,
Yet it's also where God's Grace is found.
The dusty road, the searing heat,
Sorrow of soul, and weary feet -
All are found on this stricken road,
But it's also where Grace makes her abode.
She has her house set up to feed
Poor souls who pass in deepest need.
She bids them stop and enter in
To rest and then start off again.
Long ago, I found this place,
And rested in the presence of Grace.
Cool water she gave to cleanse my soul:
The road of trials had taken its toll.
Restored, I went on the path again,
And many more times I entered in.
For whenever I failed and fell on my face;
Who should raise me up, but Grace!
It seems to me in time of trials,
The road of suffering stretches for miles.
Hazards and misery both abound,
Yet it's also where God's Grace is found.
The dusty road, the searing heat,
Sorrow of soul, and weary feet -
All are found on this stricken road,
But it's also where Grace makes her abode.
She has her house set up to feed
Poor souls who pass in deepest need.
She bids them stop and enter in
To rest and then start off again.
Long ago, I found this place,
And rested in the presence of Grace.
Cool water she gave to cleanse my soul:
The road of trials had taken its toll.
Restored, I went on the path again,
And many more times I entered in.
For whenever I failed and fell on my face;
Who should raise me up, but Grace!
