  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

God Said No

I asked God to take away my habits. God said no, they are not for Me to take away but for you to give up.

I asked God to heal my infirmities and make me whole. God said no, your spirit is whole, your body is only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience. God said no, patience is a byproduct of tribulations; it isn't granted, it is learned.

I asked God to give me happiness. God said no, I give you blessings, happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain. God said no, suffering draws you apart from worldy care and brings you closer to Me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow. God said no, you must grow on your own! But I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life. God said no, I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things.

I asked God to help me LOVE others as much as He loves me. God said, "AHHHH, finally you have the idea."

THIS DAY IS YOURS, DON'T THROW IT AWAY!!!!! And remember Jesus loves you all!!!!! May God bless and keep you.

You got a lot of "Good jobs" and "Keep writings," so let me be the first to give you a "That really spoke to me." That honestly made me reaffirm and really respect a few things I've had trouble with lately. God bless you for writing something that speaks to people like it does.
