God makes my flashlight run. I know this, because in the Bible, it says that God said "Let there be light". There are a lot of electricalists who claim that the flashlight is powered by things called "electrons", which are too small to see, but no one's ever seen one, only things they say are caused by electrons.

Electricalists are trying to remove God from His rightful position as the source of all light. They have a lot of weird theories, but they can't agree on exactly how anything works; sometimes, they say an electron is part of an atom, but other times, they say it's a particle - but an atom is the smallest particle, so that doesn't make any sense.

I think a lot of electricalists would change their tune if they didn't have such a strong committment to denying God. No one can deny that an omnipotent God could create light in a way that we might mistakenly interpret as having to do with these so-called "electrons", but the Bible says that God made light, so we know that's not so.

I defy the electricalists to prove that God doesn't provide the light for my flashlight.

I would need to see an actual electron, not just this so-called "evidence". I don't see how you people can be so confident of them; you've never observed an actual electron! It's always "this is consistent with our theory that..." or "we think this is a result of..." or some other stuff like that. If they're real, and they're really how all this stuff happens, why can't you see them?

I've heard the "they're too small" line. A pretty convenient excuse; if they're so small, why do you think they exist? Anyway, how can such small things possibly provide light? If I can't see them, how can I see them glowing?

it's like saying, i can't see the wind but i can feel it. I can't see God but i can feel Him.
at one time my friend was asking persistently howcome the pigment colour of a leaf is green? because it helps with photosynthesis.
yeah, but howcome it's green?

The lies don't stop there either.
How many children have asked "why is the sky blue" only to be indoctinated with a lot of naturalistic BS about light waves and rayleigh scattering. BAH! Nobody has ever replicated the sky in a lab. It's just a theory! Rayleigh scattering cannot be proved, and it's unscientific too. The reason the sky is blue is because it's God's favorite color! Getting children to beleive in scattered photons takes away from the mystery and beauty of creation.

BTW, chlorophyll is green because it contains magnesium. Just as hemoglobin (which is nearly identical to chlorophyll) it red due to iron. Oh, no wait. That's just a theory!

The universe, and life on earth, is all far to complicated to have been designed.

>>That's just a theory!

So is reality. And truth. And evidence. Just theories. Conciousness, just a theory. Time, just a theory. And if conciousness and time and reality are just theories... God, just a theory.

Oh and you might find the scientific version of theory radically different from the vernacular version.

Electrons? What heathen insanity is this? Everyone knows flashlights are powered by tiny elephants.

And Jerry, if you believe in electrons so much, you stick a fork in an outlet and tell me that doesn't feel like an elephant kicking your @$$!

edit: darn the [expletive][expletive][expletive]censoring.

Oh, sure. And what is a photon, exactly? Is it a particle? Yes or no, please.

And if it's photons, why do you claim that batteries contain *electrons*?

Exactly! All this science stuff is totally unsupported. The electricists have a theory that exists only to try to drive people from appreciating the wonder of God's creation of light.

You guys had better hope that randman doesn't get wind of this thread.  After all, it's demons who power your flashlight.  Except we need to free our mind from it's box so that we can see that the demons are using electrons to power that flashlight.

OTOH, perhaps npetreley will be congratulating us on not believing in these "imaginary" electrons while exposing the multiple lies of the electricists.

I have been wondering why Randman and Nick haven't stepped in to help me defend God's majesty against the inroads science is making against the faith. It seems a bit hypocritical to me not to judge all scientific theories by the same standards; clearly, they can see that their arguments would apply just as well here!

Charming, but obviously false; the Bible says God created light.

I really am surprised that none of the creationists are supporting me in this. Perhaps their standards of proof vary with the emotional importance of a result?
