God has a name.

The name of God is very important and He has given His name to us that we may know it. His name is not GOD; that is who He is. There are many gods in the world. Some religions have thousands of gods. Lord is not His name; that is a title. The landowners in England were all called lords.
How important is it to know His name?
Proverbs 30:4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?
Psalms 29:2 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
Deuteronomy 5:11 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
Psalms 34:3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.
Psalms 66:2 Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.
Psalms 105:1 O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
Isaiah 12:4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.
A study of His name will reveal that God has a name and that His name is important. His name is YAHWEH. In the original Hebrew it is in 480 Bible verses. That is his name forever. That name was reduced to LORD (spelled with all capitals) in the Bible. The Jewish people were afraid to say that name or even to read that name for fear that they might use it in vain. So they reduced His name to the tetragrammaton YHVH (yod-hey-vau-hey). In doing so, His real name was left out of our Bible. But His name is in the dead sea scrolls.
Do a net search on the name YAHWEH and a Bible search of His name. It is very important to know Gods name and to use it.
Exodus 3:14-15
And Elohim said to Moses, I AM THAT I AM; and He said, you shall say this to the sons of Israel, I AM has sent me to you. And Elohim said to Moses again, You shall say this to the sons of Israel, Yahweh the Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac, and the Elohim of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever , and this is My memorial from generation to generation.
Isaiah 42:8
I am Yahweh; that is My name ; and I will not give My glory to another, nor My praise to engraved images.
