I had a minor outpatient surgery this morning. I'm usually quite the anxious person, and stuff like this causes a lot of anxiety. I had asked my church to pray for me, several people personally let me know they were and would be praying for me.
I had an unexpected peace about the whole procedure. I experienced no rise in anxiety. I couldn't sleep the night before, but it was because I was excited about a potential job interview, not because of worry about surgery. I was not anxious going into it, I wasn't anxious at all.
The procedure itself went as well as expected, no complications or issues.
I am thankful to God for the successful procedure, and thankful also for the peace he was able to give me.
