  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

"Remember That It Belongs to Me"

Once I said, "Okay, I quit," He said, It’s about time. I’ve been trying to get you to that point for some time. Now I’m not going to let you quit. Pick it up again, but just realize it is Mine. (God’sEye View, p. 129)

Scripture Reading John 15:4–5, where Jesus warns us that apart from Him we can do nothing.

No one wants to hear it said, but there are times when desperation, frustration, and outright failure become our teachers and counselors. God uses virtually everything in our lives to draw us to Himself. Those of us gifted with especially hard heads and stubborn wills often find ourselves in the office labeled "Office of Hard Knocks and Attitude Adjustment."

Have you been working at something in your life or ministry only to reap a harvest of growing frustration and a sense of total failure? It may be time to take it to the altar and give it up. If God gives it back to you, then He just took care of your biggest problem (you). If He doesn’t, then it wasn’t part of His plan anyway. Walk away and count your blessings. God is tired of arm wrestling us for His church, so He’ll let us get to the point of desperation where we will just resign and say, "It’s Yours, Lord. It is all Yours." That is when He will say,"Good! Now take care of it." (pp. 129–30)

One of the keys to success in the workplace is to learn how your boss or supervisor sees things and begin to apply those same perceptions, values, and standards to everything you do. This is even more important where "kingdom" business is concerned. Proper perspective can make the difference between success and failure every time. Have you looked at your life through God’s eyes lately? How do you measure up to God’s biblical way of doing things? Divine perspective changes everything and helps everything come into divine alignment. At times, the only way God can give you His view of your situation is to make you throw down everything that supports and encourages your view of life and ministry. (p. 130)

Prayer Lord, please forgive me for the times I’ve tried to contain You in some kind of formula that is the same every time. Your love, Your faithfulness, Your righteousness, and Your promises are eternally constant; but Your ways are infinitely variable. Grant me the wisdom and discernment to know when I should lay down all my burdens, goals, and commitments at Your feet; and when and how I should take them up again. In everything, I am reminded that You alone are God, and I am Your creation and adopted child.
