From my Bible studies and understanding of my own religion I choose to follow. I do not see one place in the Bible or in current teachings where we can call ourselves Christians when we try to 'bless' those that are created for killing purposes. Where does god allow killings of man to occur and his blessings come along? I am aware that those parents that have children only wish the best for their child that are in the armed services, but trying to involve god to protect your child during taking part in operations to be prepared to kill people, I just dont see as being rational thought.

I am ashamed to hear other christians that are trying to bless the armed services, and I am ashamed of my President trying to bless our troops through the words of god. When it is clear that god does not tolerate violence. I'm trying to find which exact Christianity this might be? Since im guessing it's not the Christianity I have followed throughout my entire life.

Have you read the old testament lately?
Did David work alone when he went forward during war and engaged goliath?
are there not passages where armies were sent forth to do battle because they were told by the highest authority to make it so?

Would you rather enjoy the freedoms we avail you because we are willingly to go fight the fight? Or would care to join to defend those? When I climbed on board an aircraft to head over and take on those knuckleheads who trained and backed the Tower & Pentagon bombers, I knew I was going to fight evil. Better there than here. You saw on TV what happens. I see it first hand. War does suck. But I'm willing to take on the task over there and not fight it here where you'll see and experience first hand again.

I beleive that the U.S. military are being used as puppets and the politicians do not care about them. To many brothers have died in vain in Korea because they did not want to show the world that the Russians are the third best military in the world at the time. They [US TROOPS] were not fighting to defend this nation or the falg but defending other people's flag and nations and it was proven time and time after again. The only reason why JFK was assissinated because he did not want the men and women of the armed forces to die for the South Vietnamesse. Personally I think that the Vietnam war should of been for the Vietnamesse themselves and not for the US troops. It makes me sick to my guts that our troops are dying for no reason at all and it is the politicans and the Pentagon that are making new enemies for the United States. I would not be surprised if we the United States go to war with China and the U.S. Army Green Berets are carrying BLACK OPS into China till today. Why do you think that they are taking Chineese langauge classes before we were born? Should I think the troops should be in Iraq today I would say not at all. I think the President just wanted to send them so that they could scare everyone. I would not be surprised if we go into Iran, Syria and last but not least Palestine. The U.S governmennt needs to stop doing this act of sending our troops to die for nothing. Why are we having terrorists attacking us today. The problem today is that we should be more concerned about the problems we are having at home and not abraod. We should not be poking in other peoples businees or be funding other peoples military. That is one reason why everyone hates us. We should have the Air National guard patrolling the skies and the Us Coast guard patrolling the seas from day one. We should also have the U.S. Navy aiding the Coast Guard and the U.S. Marines at every U.S. Embassy and U.S. Consulate abroad. The U.S military needs to close all its bases in the Persian Gulf. We need to have multinational peace keeping force in Iraq with U.S Forces until we can repair the country and get get out. As for the war in Afghanistan we should of been there a long time ago and we should of been there in the 70's and not now. The Persian Gulf war was baed on two elements. The first one was to protect the oil fields from not only Sddam but any aggressor and to control the oil fields to make sure we get the oil over here on a daily basis. The second one was to test the Stealth jets becuase they were manufactured in the 70's and it never experienced combat at all. The Vietnam war was a testing ground for special forces and the new weapons for the pilots in all four branches. All the military did was to create future enemies in the Vietnam war.

I would like to leave a note saying that I respect the armed forces and I pray for their safty. The second thing is that I was medically disqualified at MEPS. If you really want to know I wanted to go into the US Marines Force Recon Reconassiance. Although I am a muslim to I do not support terrorism in any way or fashion.

Thank you for our troops who are so willing to go and sacrifice EVERYTHING to protect us. I pray daily for their safety. I pray for their families that are here in the states hoping they never hear of anything happening to their loved ones. I pray that God will provide their families with a sense of comfort that only He can provide. I don't know of anyone who likes war, but am very thankful that there are some great soldiers who believe in what they are doing and believe in this country enough to defend me and my children. Whether we believe in the cause or not, why can't we get behind our soldiers and show them our support. They're doing it to protect us and our children. Have a great day and may God truly bless and watch over our troops everywhere.
