Has there ever been a time where you prayed a prayer or ask God for something and He gave it to you almost instantaneously?

I remember once I opened my bible and flipped to a random page and read a verse, then closed the bible. I never took regard to which book, chapter or verse it was, but I really loved it and I wanted to re-read it. So I asked God to show me it again, and I flipped randomly again and I looked down and see the exact verse there in front of me. Most people tell me that it was just static electricity or the way books work, but I believe God truly wanted me to read it again.

Just little stuff like that.

God Bless

This may sound a little juvenile, but here goes. I dated a girl in college for a couple of years (my family knew she was wrong for me, but I digress) and she broke up with me. I cried like a baby, I'm a very sentimental guy, not clingy, just sentential. Anyway, I couldn't stand feeling depressed anymore (again, not anything serious, just young love) and prayed to God to take away the pain. Well, that second I felt better. No more crying. I met my now wife of nearly 12 years the next day.

A dozen years ago I was dead broke and without a job. I had to sell most of my prized music collection (LP's, tapes and CD's) just to get by for another month. I was proud of my tunes and all my friends marveled at how much I had collected over the years. But I had no choice at the time and had to sell them. A couple of weeks after I sold them I got hired by a company I had applied at a few months earlier. I learned two important lessons. Don't be proud of material things, and to put your trust in the Lord. He got me through that trial and he'll get you through your's if you humble yourself.
