Did anyone fail the first time around? I've read where this test may not be too necessary but I don't understand why take it if that is the case. I'm really scared about gestasational diabetes.

I'm still reading through that article I linked, and it looks like you should have 3 days of unrestricted diet before doing the 3-hr test. Maybe the candy bar is to counteract any effort to eat super super healthy for those three days and avoid a false negative?? that's all I can figure anyway.
Did they make you fast before the 1 hour test?
whoops ... it was probably the honey nut cheerios.... eat only a boiled egg and water before the next one... no sugar or carbs at all!
I failed with my first baby and passed the second time.
I failed the first test by 8 points and had to take the 3-hour. It was long, boring, and uncomfortable. But, I passed it just fine. Most women do pass the second test. Try not to worry.![]()
what do they do in regards to taking the test? I haven't had one yet. My first official appointment is on the 15th of this month.
Do they just take a heap of blood or is it more than that. And why does it take so long?
