  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello! Many blessings to you from the depths of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Most-Holy! :wave:

I am AveChristusRex, an independent Catholic under no particular jurisdiction, and I attend an Eastern Orthodox Parish. I believe in Total Pacifism, Political Abstentionism, Temperance, etc., and am always happy to meet new folks! I will try to be a radiant light to you all! In terms of me personally, I am a college student who has had many stumbles in life but found solace in the words of Our Lord and the blessings of Our Lady, and I hope to learn, laugh, love, and live a peaceful life without any distractions about worldly affairs, strife, conflict, etc.

I hope my presence in this community will reflect well on me as a person. I hope my contributions are plentiful and in good standing with all those in this community!
