  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

You give Him a place of top priority in your life. You spend time getting to know Him through prayer and studying His word. You do the things that you know He wants you to do even when they aren't the things that you want to do. You don't keep back little areas of your life for yourself - for example, you don't keep back your romance life or your work life or your social life for yourself, but you allow Jesus to permeate and be the center of every aspect of your life.

Giving your all to Jesus is a day by day process that will always last. You start by not only reading the word but being a doer of the word as well. Every area of your life you have to be willing to give to Him and allow Him to come in and clean up, direct, etc. It takes time and it is a process. So things are easier to give to Him and leave with Him than others, some things you'll think you gave to Him only to find out later you never really gave it to Him. Understand that God prioritizes the areas in our life that He needs cleaned up first so don't get frustrated by focusing on the areas that you see that you mess up everytime but rejoice in the areas that He is cleaning up or cleaned up. Once one area that He choose to work on is in His order, He will reveal that next area that He is going to clean up. Just work with Him and know that through it all - He has your back.

God Bless!

First if you have not done so, by asking him to forgive you of all sin and be your Lord and saviour , secondly, making him first and foremost in your life , giving him top priority, and lastly each day submitting your will to him , in other words , allowing him to lead you in what HE wants for you instead of what you want. Its a daily thing, and a relationship he wants with us , so communicate frequently with him , as you know you cant have a relationship if you never spend any time with them or talk to them. Hope this helps .:)

to me, though i haven't done it yet, giving my all means taking the initiative to come close to Him, to obey His will and to do unto others as what He teaches in the bible.

in other word, as what others have said above, make Him my first priority.

it isn't easy, yet i believe once your priority is set, it'll flow naturally.

well, easy to say that, hard to get it done.

Oswald Chambers wrote: "Jesus Christ can take you and me, and can fit us exactly to the expression of the divine life in us. It is not a question of putting the statements of our Lord in front of us and trying to live up to them, but of receiving His Spirit and finding that we can live up to them as He brings them to our remembrance and applies them to our circumstances."

Part of giving your all is allowing Jesus to make your decisions for you. It means staying in close fellowship with God and listening for His voice and immediately obeying when you hear it. Someone once talked about living for Jesus even unto folly. So, when I feel prompted to do something I look at whether it's like God, that is, good, pure, noble, right, building someone up, etc. If it is, I do it even if it doesn't make sense. Before you take action, ask "Does this bring honor and glory to Jesus?". If it does, do it and you'll find you are giving him your all.

A rich man once asked a simular question of Jesus, he asked: "Teacher, what good things must I do to have eternal life?"

Jesus said to this man: "Why ask me about what is good? Only God is good. But to answer your question, you can receive eternal life if you keep the commandments."

"Which ones?" The man asked.

And Jesus replied: "Do not murder. Do not commit adultery. Do not steal. Do not testify falsely. Honor your father and your mother. Love your neighbor as yourself."

"Ive obeyed all these commandments," the young man replied. "What else must I do?"

Jesus told him, "If you want to be perfect, go and sell all you have and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come and follow me."

But when the young man heard this, he went sadly away because he had many possessions.

(I believe this goes hand and hand with this scripure):

Jesus replied: "The most important commandment is this: 'Hear O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all you mind, and all your strength. The second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself. No other commandment is greater than these."

(33. This is more important than to offer all of the burnt offerings and sacrifices required in the law).

Just imagine that type of love. I dont believe any of us have ever to date aside from Jesus have ever comprehended that type of love. Not even in our wild imagination. Not with our husbands, wives, children, brothers, sisters, mothers, or fathers, has any of us ever so loved another.

So to your question: How do you give your all to Jesus?

By believing.

(Sounds easy enough dont it. Try it sometime. In everything you do apply scriptures, try believing them for your situation. If God tells you something is true, believe it. Believe me, satan will be there to try and get you to doubt.

I have an cute example from family life. My brother has me run errands for him all the time. Once he asked me where I got his dip for him. So I told him, but he didnt believe me. I was like, why did you ask me if you arent going to believe me? Did you think I was going to lie to you? That is where I got it from! Crazy thing is he is always doing that to me, and I have never lied to him.

It must just be something about some peoples nature, I dont know??? But anyways, it reminds me of what we do to God. Why do we ask God and then not believe him. We need to start believing God, take him at his word. God does not lie).

If we go back to the book of Genesis, now this is just me, isnt all God ever asked from us is that we believe? I have given all these trees to eat from, just dont eat from this one, if you do you will die. -Sounds like, hey just believe me- dont it?

Then Jesus comes, For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life.

Just believe.

If you want to live-believe!

Quit doubting and believe!
