We're once again nearing Thanksgiving for those of us here in the United States. It's set aside as a time to give thanks for the blessing of the past year. So in that spirit let's share some of the blessings that we have so much to be thankful for - you don't have to think of everything at once - feel free to let this thread continue through the upcoming advent and christmas season and beyond. We all have so much to be thankful for and hearing the stories and testimonies of others can be such a blessing.

I'm thankful for God's amazing love, grace, and mercy in our Lord Jesus Christ! I'm thankful that Jesus is the Good Shepherd and for the new life we can have in him!

I'm thankful for my family. We've experienced so much sadness and difficulties this past year but the Lord has been there with us and showed us his love.

I'm thankful for my friends - and that includes all of you here in Wesley's Parish! So many of you have been there for me with your prayers and support.

I'm thankful for the new church that the Lord has led my family to and for all the blessings and miracles that the Lord is working and the lives that are being transformed.

Hello, I am especially glad for numbers 2 and 4 of your list - that God has carried your family through and that you've found a church home.

For me, the tops ones would be:

A good pastor

Finally found a spiritual friend who is the perfect fit in the areas of personality and spirituality.

Parents are in pretty good health. Cousins with whom I can share a good sense of family.

VERY thankful that my depressed friend Rob is starting to come around after years of prayer. He seems to be finally understanding that God has a brighter future than what his ex-wife convinced him he had.

And I love my gym membership - I go there a lot.
