Given The Bird For Sharing The Gospel

So what is the purpose of showing videos like this or even the last one you posted about the person who debated you.
I do believe believers are called to teach and tell unbelievers how to receive God's free gift of Eternal Life by belief in Jesus.

I just do not see how videos like this, advance, the believers call to tell people how to receive God's free gift of Eternal Life and become a born again child of God.

We should be sharing the Gospel with them., and that is the Love that they can find as Jesus on the Cross, if you share it correctly.

Whereas, if you beat them with the bible, or come across as judging them, vs, offering them God's reconciliation, then you can push them away from God, for life, and then you have sent someone to Hell.

So, you have to be careful with the "warning", and the "finger pointing", type of witnessing.

See, unbelievers already feel that God is angry with them, so, we dont need to reinforce that...
We instead need to reinforce just how WELCOME THEY ARE to the Family of God... as "Jesus came into the world to save SINNERS", and they certainly qualify.

If your friends purpose was sharing the gospel, that was a very ineffective sign choice. Leading with that decidedly does not follow the model of evangelism shown to us in the New Testament by Christ and the apostles.

We are meant to show people how they have sinned. This can be confronting to some, and they will hate it. But to others it is enlightening. And Jesus said that if we did this, then the world would hate us. So, if do as Jesus did, then some will be pushed away. Many will hate it.
Many believers in this day and age choose to skip the bad news of sin and simply tell people that if they believe and say a prayer, they will be saved.
And yes, we do have to be careful about how we show people their sins. We are to do this with gentleness and respect, but at the same time we should not lower the depravity of sin. We should show it in its fullness.

You will not find that in the Bible. Most unbelievers that I speak to on the streets say that they are good enough to get into heaven.
Unbelievers have also been told by many Christians that God loves them and the Christian will then leave out the part that God hates sinners. The unbeliever then thinks to himself that God would never send someone He loves to Hell.

The bible says,
"For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness;
No evil dwells with You.
The boastful shall not stand before Your eyes;
You hate all who do iniquity." Psalm 5:4-5 (NASB)

So, we should not downplay God's anger as it is doing a disservice to the unbeliever.

So, don't point out someone's sin? Just tell them that God loves them, and they are welcome to join His family. Where does Jesus do this type of evangelism?
In Mark 10:17 a rich young ruler asks how to get eternal life. Jesus then takes him through the commandments to show his sin. This is very confronting and to some Christians may seem unloving. But we should be doing just as Jesus did. And we should do it with gentleness and respect.

When talking about the great harvest Charles Spurgeon said.
"He who preaches the Gospel without preaching the Law of God may hold all the results of it in his hand and there will be little for him to hold. I do not believe that any man can preach the gospel who does not preach the Law."

"witnessing" is not about trying to beat an unbeliever with your finger pointing attitude, Reader.

Listen, an unbeliever is mind blinded by the Devil, and you can't undo that, yourself.

What we do, is share the love of God, as the Cross of Christ, and allow the Holy Spirit to open their heart so that the truth is revealed in there.

Always be kind and considerate to everyone, and especially to a hell bound sinner.
If they are not receptive..., then walk away, as arguing with unbelief only makes their unbelief more ridged.

Plant the seed, and leave it, if they won't have it at that time., and be gentle, caring, friendly.. as you are the only Jesus they will see, and if you are mean spirited or self righteous or judgmental, then they see JESUS as the same, and that's on YOU. @1Tonne

"Jesus is coming to judge the world in Righteousness - Repent of your Sins" would be a good sign, as it's scriptural (Revelation 19:11 and Matthew 4:17, Acts 3:19, etc)

I think discernment is needed when pinpointing a specific sin or set of sins. Anyone who isn't saved isn't going to care what the Biblically allowable sex is because they are already lost and will do what they want. The sign is 100% true, but seems more like something you might carry in opposition to a Pride parade, where by the way THEY deliberately target children. However, as Christians there should be first and foremost scripture and the salvation way presented.

And as far as Pride parades or other LGBT, etc demonstrations, often there are professing Christians among them who attend those ultra liberal rainbow flag churches, so we are called to point out error in such cases.
It really upsets me when I see stuff like this. So those who were worried about kids seeing that sign, look what the enemy exposes Americas kids to!

That is why we use the Law. I cannot change a person, but God has given us the great gift of the Law. The law of the Lord is perfect at converting the heart. Sadly, most Christians do not understand this great gift.

So, you simply tell them about the cross without telling them why they need the cross? That does not seem like a good idea though many believers do this.

This can be true but not always. We should do our utmost to save the lost.
Last week I spoke to a lady who had studied evolution and she said that the bible was not real. I was able to show her that evolution was simply blind faith. Then after this, I was also able to show her that there must have been a creator simply by looking at the order and design in creation. She then looked at the trees around us and then said, "You know you are right. There must have been a creator."

I believe it is loving to show someone their need for a saviour. obviously, when doing this you need to use wisdom. It is more mean-spirited to not to show them their sin so that they know what to run from.
And here is another great quote from Charles Spurgeon about those who are too delicate in their evangelism.
"Doctor. You are too delicate to tell the man that he is ill. You hope to heal the sick without their knowing it. You therefore flatter them. Your delicacy is cruelty, your flatteries are poisons you are a murderer. Shall we keep men in a fool's paradise? Shall we lull them into soft slumber from which they will awake in hell? Correct. We are simply told to tell as many as possible. So, throw as much seed as we can.

It's true that the kids of these people are exposed to all kinds of indecent things, but that's not a reason to do the same thing to a lesser degree ourselves.
