Ghost hunting

I have recently been taking an interest in 'Most Haunted' a ghost hunting series here in the Uk where a team travel the country and hunt for ghosts filming any evidence that they find.

I've had the thoughts creeping into my head that maybe I would like to try it for real as there are local paranormal investigation teams in my area.

Just to make you all aware my belief is firmly that any ghosts are demons either acting as demons or masquerading as a persons loved ones as that is a weak point. The reason for my sudden interest in This is that I have always been told its better to know your enemies, or keep your friends close but your enemies closer.

Maybe if I can in some way help and convert these entities or even stop others from being effected by them I believe I would really enjoy doing that.

My over riding fear is that this is displeasing to God to even consider it, if this is so why am I considering it! Haha.

I'm personally also open to the possiblity that there are neutral spiritual beings aswell, like there are animals and trees in visible world, those aren't really good or bad. But to move on, let's assume your version is correct.

The reason for my sudden interest in This is that I have always been told its better to know your enemies, or keep your friends close but your enemies closer.

If I were in your position and we assume these beings are evil, I would be most considered about can I exorcise (or whatever term is proper here) them away without being influenced by them. If I couldn't be sure about that, it would most likely be wise to stay out of business.

That "know your enemy" - part might be very true in stuff like business competition where youre against humans, cause there knowledge gives you edge. However, I think spiritual matters are different in nature. With spiritual evil beings, I think what matters is to have power over them. Usually that means spiritual gifts given by Holy Spirit.

Reading lives of saints gives me impression that they always have to first fight their inner demons, before doing that in outside world. So if you're experienced on casting ghosts or demons out of your own life and heart, that might be good idea.

I don't believe in Ghosts or demons. I think the only spiritual being is God who is good.
