Hi guys, just to let you know my SO left for Ghana today on a mission trip for 2 and a half weeks, she is doing various thing such as aids awareness and running a camp. Im a bit anxious because I dont know if she has arrived safely or anything cause she cant contact me so prayers for both of us and some comforting posts would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot everyone!

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am going out on a mission to South Africa on Monday. I feel nervous about who I'm leaving behind, but I also know God wants me to go on this trip.
God wants your girlf on this trip - so have faith that he will protect her as she goes out.
God understands your anxieties too, so give it all to him and ask him for peace. He is the God of miracles, so ask him maybe to get her to a phone just so she can call once to say she's safe.
The Lord is our comfort, our tower of strength. You need him more now, so seek him more.
Your girlfriend will have an amazing time in God and in what she's doing. I pray for her safety and protection also.
