  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

"If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it."

This is what God said to Cain when he was angry that Abel's offering was acceptable and his was not.
What I found interesting is that if we do not do the right thing we are not immediately abandoned, rather our petential to sin is greater.

What do you think?

Okay, in this verse Cain already did a sin, but He had the opprotunity to repent right there and it was rt. before He let sin take hold and lead him to murder. See, He could have repented, but instead he let that bitterness and offense which was already at the door, inside and pretty much take root. And you get what He did, murder.

That is exactly what I was talking about. We can sin and it makes our potential to sin greater. He still had a choice in whether or not he would sin but it was easier for him to do so because he allowed further sin rooted in his previous sin to enter his life.
