Games i play . got questions

Ok well I play games with magic and wizardry like skyrim kingdom of amular and diablo and others but is it wrong .I am a big gamer but I am a proud to be Christian is it wrong to play games like this I mean I haven't really believed in there false idols or false gods and goddess's I change it and say its god they are worshiping but all in all do you think its wrong and if you want to see what I all play you can go to this site where it has all my games .And no this is not a troll

It really depends on the game. If you have a fake world with dragons and magic, then it seems a fake religion would be appropriate. Having the true religion of Christianity in a fantasy world seems inappropriate to me. It's not so much the presence of a made-up religion in a game that matters, but what the writers are using those to say about the real world, if anything.

Magic is a completely different issue. A lot of video game "magic" is only magic in name and doesn't have anything to do with real-world practices. It's just a name for shooting fireballs and could be replaced with technology or whatever with no real change to the mechanic.

There are some things in games that are always right-or-wrong (sex, violence, heroism, language) and then things like fake religions that really depend on the writing.

I agree and thank you for responding and tanks for helping me out cause a guy I was talking to said that I wasn't faithful or I was falling away from my religion when I played god of war and stuff and I was thinking how could that be when I go to church and pray and I know defiantly that I am saved by the blood of jesus Christ.

That person was way out of line. Even if GoW is a bad game or has actually bad stuff in it (I've heard it has a sex minigame or something), there's a big difference between doing/playing something bad and falling away from Christ.

yes its true it has sexual themes but It don't get to me i mean some things I take heavy on games but not much like if they diss god or Christianity than I wont play it .I mean i play a lot of games that use gods name in vain but I don't repeat it i don't like the word at all but I mean I do get offended by it but i mean there has to be more envolved like the music i listen to its heavy metal and rap but if its like satanic or anything i don't listen to them or i will disband from listening to them.
