CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Travis, I pray that your surgery is successful and that you recover well. I know what you are going through. I had a very large stone that blocked a bile duct and ruined my gall bladder. I ended up having it removed in 1999 (only 3 months after the attacks of pain began). It took several post-midnight trips to the ER until the doctors figured out that it wasn't acid reflux or appendicitis. The surgery was done laparoscopically (that's the way they generally do it these days) and I healed with only two tiny scars. It took about 8 days to recover, so it wasn't really too bad. I've never had any problems since. Hopefully, your treatment goes so well. Hang in there, pal.

It'll be ok Travis. I had my gallbladder removed just after my 13th birthday. I came out of surgery with four little bandaids - they did it laproscopically.
