Have I read you right?

Forgive me for tacking bracketed notes into the text, but I want to represent your viewpoint exactly as the futurist sees it.

After this period of sixty-two sets of seven, the Anointed One will be killed, (Christ) appearing to have accomplished nothing, and a ruler will arise whose armies will destroy the city and the Temple. (future Antichrist event)
The end will come with a flood, and war and its miseries are decreed from that time to the very end. (from AoD until 2nd coming)

My question is only verse 26 and Im sure we all agree that the first part of the verse speaks of the cross. But who is the ruler "whose armies will destroy the city and the Temple?" Do you see it as a future conflict or do you see it as the Romans in AD 70?

The translation you are using is not very accurate. The Hebrew does not say that the armies that will destroy the city and the temple belong to the ruler that will arise. It says that the people of the ruler that will arise will destroy the city and the temple.

This identifies the ruler that will arise as a ruler of the same people that destroyed the city and the temple. That people was the Romans. This is how we know that the ruler that will arise will be a ruler of the Roman people. Other scriptures show us that the Roman Empire will be revived in a future day. Daniel 9:26 shows us that this "ruler that will arise" will be the ruler of this revived Roman Empire.

(a future event) The end of it shall be with a flood, and till the end of the war desolations are determined.

Non-Futurist Interpretation
After the sixty-two weeks Messiah (Jesus) shall be cut off, but not for himself; and the people of the prince who is to come (troops of Titus) shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. (AD 70) The end of it shall be with a flood, and till the end of the war desolations are determined.​

You do not understand the position of futurists. We, like the non-futurists, see all of the destruction of the city and the sanctuary as being done by the troops of Titus. But we see "the prince that shall come" as future. The city and the temple were destroyed by the Romans under Titus, so "the prince that shall come" has to be a ruler over the people that did that, that is, the Romans. This is how we know the future "prince" will be a Roman.

He (future Antichrist) shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; but in the middle of the week (3½ yrs after his treaty) shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. (temple desecrated) And on the wing of abominations (situated in a wing of the temple) shall be one who makes desolate, (Antichrists abomination) even until the consummation, which is determined, is poured out on the desolate. (judgement on Antichrist)

This is now quite correct. It is what futurists have been teaching for more than 1800 years.

I am having a very merry one. On Christmas day I pointed my camera out of my siser-in-law's window and photographed people swimming in the South Atlantic Ocean and walking on the beach of Recife, Brazil. The temperature today was about 86 degrees. The news said that in Rio de Jariero, where I am supposed to preach in a few weeks, it felt like 50 degrees (122 on our thermometers.) I will be doing good to remian conscious, much less preach!
