  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

well...I was really thinking about going to Bible College, which would be awesome and I would learn a lot, but I think God wants me to stay where I am to go to college. I am going to go to my state college, and get a TON of hands on experience. I am already in a good youth group and the youth pastor wants me to start giving messages and have a "bigger role"...I am also in young life and the area director wnats me to start leading "wild life" which is for middle schoolers...I am also going to do some discipleship with my pastor so tehre is a lot I can do here. I just need to stay focused with all the tempations in a state college and read a lot. I can get the highest scholarship at the state collge, but I need to keep a 3.5 to keep it. I was wondering, should I go with a lower scholarship that I can keep for sure? or should I go with the one that needs a 3.5 and just study hard. I know that God will take me through it either way, and I am praying about it. Just wondering what others think :)

whoa hello! i too would like to go to a Bible college....problem: most are too expensive for me to get into, the out of state ones that is. And after a discussion with my pastor and youth pastor, there arent any good Bible colleges in my state, they both recommended one in our neighboring state, but it is way too expenisve..and i cant get a grant to go to it since its in another state. Another problem is...i dont feel a calling to go into a ministry where i would need to go to a Bible college. I do feel a heavy calling in the Music Ministry, God has giving me the ablitiy to play mulitple instruments and i feel called to use that talent for His glory. So it kinda works out for me. I`m attending a local college aiming for a degree in Biology, then going on and become a Dentist. i too have a state grant, however mine only requires i keep a 3.0 and so far i'm doing well. Hope things work out for ya man!

thanx...I talked to a few more people today and found out that the scholarship I was aiming for is limited. Only 13-15 are haned out statewide so it is really competitive. I am going to go with a lower scholarship and I will onlly need a 3.0 so I can focus on ministry and God :)

I hope whatever you decide to do works out for you. I had a really hard time last year with a lot of stress deciding what I wanted to do. I started out in September at a Christian liberal arts university taking a BA in Biblical Studies, then I thought about History. I ended up switching to BA in Psychology and I absolutely love it!
