1Behold, a day is coming for the LORD, when the spoil taken from you will be divided in your midst. 2For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken and the houses plundered and the women raped. Half of the city shall go out into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3Then the LORDwill go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle. 4On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward. 5And you shall flee to the valley of my mountains, for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azal. And you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.a

I've never owned or read a Scofield bible.That is Scofield not Revelation.
The Jews believed that the Bar Kohkba Revolt was the fulfillment of Daniel and Revelation. Of course like the Apostles and Disciples they got it wrong too according to the far futurists.
But the Lord didn't return..Then the LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.aThe nations did gather to fight for the Romans against the zealots.
Years later they fought the Bar Kohkba Revolt. Hadrian refused to allow the Jews to bury their dead so bodies lay in the street for months. He also hunted down those who had fled and hidden themselves in caves.

I hold to the Pre-Wrath viewpointI believe that you haven't ever owned a Scofield Bible. Nonetheless Scofield heresy permeates Protestant evangelical churches and both Dominionists and Dispensationalist churches.. It was preached to the poor at tent revivals during the Depression and the Dustbowl years, but it really caught fire in the 1970s with the publication of Hal Lindsey's books. Dallas Theological Seminary has turned out thousands of preacher.

Jesus already came on the clouds of Heaven. The destruction of the temple and the judgement of the Jews in THAT generation. In Isaiah 19:1 we see this same symbolism used:Have you overlooked the Jews are back in Jerusalem ? And we still await the return of Jesus. Matthew 24:29-31
29“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Revelation was written for first century Christians to show that God never leaves them and to help get through persecution at that time. Yet, I wonder whether the it precludes similar events in the future.

Ya, this is the group of men that didn't even know that He was going to resurrect Himself.. even though He basically spelled it out to them....Paul died believing that Jesus would return any minute. In fact ALL the apostles and disciples believed Jesus would return in their lifetime.

Looking into the origins of things because of the many "new revelations" that are hitting the Church today and leading it off into apostasy. Jesus did say,
"22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. 23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things (Mark 13).
It is a book that your are told that you will be "blessed" for reading.. It takes a person who is very knowledgeable about the rest of the bible to decipher the intricacies of this final book. But.. we do get the main point... wrath is coming... be ready.. we win.... YAY.There is nothing in this book that even remotely makes any sense. Was God actually riding on a cloud? Or is this imagery? The same with Jesus. Matthew 24:34 “Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.” Josephus writes about the annihilation of Jerusalem in the late first century. This is the reason why in the book of Acts, the christians were selling all of their belongings because Jesus promised destruction in that generation Acts 4:32-5:11

Pre-Wrath is an end time position. I have no affiliation with the Latter Rain Movement.I wouldn't know if I had .. I knew/know NOTHING about the Latter Rain Movement of the 1950s.

What we are "without excuse" for is that we are created, sinners at heart and in the need of a savior.. That is written on all of our hearts.With all this confusion - how can anyone say

Keep in mind that the the bible speaks in hidden codes or messages. For example do you know that the mount of olives and city of Jerusalem are within you? Most of us read the bible but we do not understand that the bible is actually within us. It may be hard for you to understand.
